Abbottstown, Pennsylvania Sprint car driver Riley Emig has died in a reported motorcycle accident.

Emig, the infamous number 33 for Beaver Car Racing was reported dead on Saturday, July 13th.

News of his demise was shared by his family. No official cause of death was revealed.

Emig was a popular racer for Beaver Creek Racing in his infamous #33 jersey.

Hailing from Abbottstown, Pennsylvania, he was a regular fixture on the Sprint racing circuit in PA.

Emig was a former regular on the Lincoln Speedway and competed year after year in the winged 410 Sprint Car race.

He never won the ultimate title but he twice finished a season in 6th position.

A lifelong lover of car racing appears to have lost his life in a motorcycle accident, reports reveal.

A post shared on Facebook by his family via his page, Riley Emig – Beaver Creek Racing33 – announced the news of his tragic demise.

The post began with ‘Rest in Peace Riley!” and asked for the public to keep the Emig Family in its ‘thoughts and prayers’.

It gave very little details about his passing beyond that.

The Dirt Track Racing Forever team built on that news, reporting that Riley Emig had died in a motorcycle accident.

Where the motorcycle accident occurred or how it occurred was not disclosed.

Numerous other tributes came in for Emig, revealing what a talented race car driver he was and lamenting that he was gone too soon.

The tragic death of Riley Emig has left many heartbroken and distraught.

The car racing community has been devastated to learn such a talented driver has passed away and Emig is being remembered as a consummate professional and a darling to everyone on and off the track.

His death is certainly heartwrenching and may he rest in peace.
