A teacher with Semper Elementary School in the Jefferson County School District identified as Jennifer Ripper has gotten herself into some hot water over comments passed appearing to support the attempted assassination of President Donald J. Trump.
Ripper’s unfortunate comments sparked a massive online backlash and galvanized conservative commentators and supporters of the former President to start a campaign to get her fired from her job as a special education teacher with Jeffco Public Schools.
Numerous posts from Libs of TikTok among others, have painted her out as an extremist who does not deserve the privilege to be teaching children in the American public school system.
What happened?
Following the attempted assassination of President Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday, July 13th, Jennifer Ripper, a teacher with Jeffco Public Schools in Denver passed some unsavoury remarks about the incident.
In a post shared to her Facebook account, Ripper noted that the ex-President had almost gotten ‘taken out’.
While a not particularly offensive post, her next comments are what doomed her.
A follower, one Darrin Clay expressed regret that the shooter appeared to have missed which Ripper replied to with “my thoughts exactly!”
That appeared to indicate she was unhappy that the attempted assassination had not been successful and that absolutely triggered followers of the Republican Presidential nominee to come for her.
Libs of TikTok, an account on X that routinely posts about Liberals who ‘get out of line’ quickly picked up on it, sharing Jennifer’s name and photo to its 3.2m followers.
Replies quickly flooded the posts calling for her to be fired and to be kept away from the kids.
Who is she?
Jennifer Ripper according to her own words is an experienced special education teacher with Jeffco Public Schools.
She holds skills and competencies in Common Core State Standards, Educational Assessment, Data Collection and Analysis, Classroom Management, and Educational Psychology, among others.
Following her gaffe, Jeffco Public Schools released an email denouncing violence of any kind and calling on employees to conduct themselves in a professional and appropriate manner on social media.
Subsequent reports on Twitter and Facebook claimed she was fired but no official statement has arrived from Jeffco Public Schools regarding her firing.
I hope she terminated and I hope she struggles to find another job. I wouldn’t want anyone with her low morals teaching Mt children or grandchildren
I would not want her teaching my kids. She can think and feel what she wants but she is a hateful fool for posting it for the world to see.
Wishing someone dead or insinuating you would be pleased by their passing, expressed online by a student would be an immediate expulsion. This woman is no different and her misbehavior and poor choices to publicly announce this is unfortunate and should hold the same consequences. What a shame, how terrifying , that a grown woman who is in charge of our youth has such poor judgement. I will pray for her cold heart .
The school is EXTREMELY IRRESPONSIBLE KEEPING HER AROUND CHILDREN !! Shame on them ! This woman is a terrorist!! She is encouraging others to try to kill !! If she is this open to post her mentally unstable comments online what is she saying to the children!?! Parents need to protect their children against this kind of terrorism!!!
Immediately dismissed no pension. She is a state employee. Absolutely this cannot be tolerated at any level. An innocent man died, another kid hit and a former POTUS hit. She shouldn’t be around kids if she cannot show emotional restraint.
This school should be ashamed of this. She should be fired immediately. This is promoting violence. No pension, no severance no paid time acrured . Board of education needs to take her license. This is u acceptable behavior to be around anyone’s children. And maybe the FBI needs to investigate her and her talk of killing people. Any person. Who knows who else she disagrees with.
I have special needs children and if my kids were in her class I would demand her being fired and unable to teach again or I would remove my kids from the school and file a protective order against this monster permanently. This is sick and shows just how heartless the radical left (not all left) can be. This sickens me. And I hope for the schools sake, they get rid of this monster.
She also sent Facebook direct messages to various people saying – “you f-ed with the wrong person” and then posted personal information about those people on FB, calling one individual a “criminal” and a “felon”.
