The Jamestown accident

The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that just before 5 p.m. on Monday, July 15th, a woman was driving an SUV with six seven kids inside on the i-95 about seven miles west of Jamestown.

While driving, she was passed by a semi-truck and somehow lost control of her vehicle which went off the interstate and landed on its side in a slough that was about 9 feet deep due to the summer rains.

Luckily by the time when first responders arrived, the driver and five children were already out of the car and the water but two others could not be found.

The two missing boys were 7 and 10-year-old nephews of the driver who tragically died.

Their bodies were recovered after a nearly hour search in the slough.
