An Anderson, South Carolina father of two with one child on the way, Chris Price has tragically died and thrown his family and community into desperate mourning.
Chris Price was a great father and a man, according to all and sundry; but tragically he ended up dead, the victim of a drunk driving accident.
A graduate of Pendleton High School, Chris Price worked as a mechanic at the Specialty Ridez dealership in Anderson.
He was married to Lauren Elizabeth Price and had two kids. He and his wife are expecting their first child in a matter of weeks.
Chris Price had built a nice life for himself in his hometown, a hardworking man with two beautiful children, a beautiful pregnant wife, and a life admired by many. But in this harsh world we live in, we never know when our well-laid plans are about to get pear-shaped.
On the fateful morning of Thursday, July 18th, Price was on his way to work after a doctor’s appointment with his wife, when tragedy struck.

Unbeknownst to him and his loving family, another person who had decided to make a bunch of wrong choices in their life was driving from the other side of the road, drunk behind his wheel, and was about to change their lives forever.
In a gut-wrenching moment, the two cars collided as the other driver drove erratically. Chris Price received treatment but could not survive. The fate of the other driver is currently, unknown.
And just like that, a lovely family man with two kids and married to a beautiful woman with whom he was expecting their first child in just a matter of weeks, had died, taken from this world in cruel fashion.
Price’s two children, Collins and Eleanor, his pregnant wife Lauren, and their soon-to-be-born child Wyatt, have now been left in excruciating agony.
Their rock and anchor have been taken away and now have to navigate life without their primary breadwinner, particularly in this current climate of economic difficulty.
Chris Price is being remembered as a great man, described by many as ‘one of the good ones.
He was a lovely man, authentic in every sense and down to earth, making time for everyone and treating them all equally.
According to his own brother-in-law Andrew, Chris essentially saved Lauren by coming into her life, bringing joy and happiness to her once more.
The impact of such a person’s death cannot be underestimated, and the evidence of how loved he was is seen all across the social media space in tributes and remembrance posts dedicated to him.
A giant has fallen in South Carolina and the family of Chris Price are grievously wounded. May he find eternal peace in the afterlife.
