Distraught former students of Annie Jasonowicz, a teacher turned principal in the Lansing area of Michigan have flooded social media to mourn her following her passing.
Mrs Annie Jasonowicz is the Principal of Cole Academy, a Charter Elementary School Grade K-6 in Lansing, Michigan.
A dedicated and disciplined but principled and warm teacher, the news of Mrs Jasonowicz’s death stunned many of her former students who jumped on social media to mourn her.
She was remembered by her students as one of their best teachers of all time due to not only what she did while they were in school but even while they were out of school!
Mrs Annie Jasonowicz did not start her life as an all-accomplished school principal, she had humble beginnings just like everyone else.
She was born to her parents in East Lansing, Michigan and grew up as the apple of their eye.
Annie attended Lansing Catholic High School where she was for all intents and purposes a brilliant student.
Her desire to help others and to impart knowledge led her to Western Michigan University where she studied for a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECEd) and started her career shortly after.
Annie was a terrific teacher who took her student’s needs and wants into consideration and built bonds with them that enabled her to reach them in many ways other teachers might have struggled.
She was known to continue to cultivate relationships with her students even after they left school.
After years as an elementary school teacher, she went ahead to study Master of Arts in Educational Administration at Central Michigan University.
She was working as the Elementary Principal at Cole Academy at the time of her untimely passing.
Annie had married Kevin Jasonwicz with the couple having first gotten engaged in 2013.
News of Mrs. Jasonowicz’s tragic passing left many of her former students shaken as they expressed how they loved her and would miss her.
“The best teacher I have ever had,” one user Anesa Jackson said.
“Beyond lost for words💔 forever our favorite teacher,” another user lamented on Facebook.
Evidently a great woman, the tragic death of Annie Jasonowicz has left many people, friends, family, loved ones, and former students, in deep mourning.
Her legacy would forever be felt in the words of those she impacted and how they memorialize her to the world.
